"Segmentation fault"

Hello there.

I’m looking for a some help with the Beamr Transcoder that I’ve just installed. I’m running v1.5.0.9_201911081347 on Ubuntu 18.04.

Basically every encode I do, no matter the settings, gets to 100% and then gives the error Segmentation fault and it only gives me a .temp file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please provide the following details:

  1. Command line used

  2. Mediainfo of the input file

  3. System information (CPU, RAM)

Thank you!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I get the error message no matter what the command I use. But as an example this is a command I’ve used: beamrtrans -i sample.mp4 -o output.mp4 -v h264 -vb 800 -pi

The file I’ve been attempting to transcode is the sample.mp4 file that comes with the Beamr Transcoder. Here’s the Mediainfo.

The CPU is a Xeon E3-1230 v2. And the RAM is 16GB of DDR3 1600MHz.

Thank you for the answers. A few more follow up questions:

  • Does the transcoder crash regardless the input file used?

  • Does the crash happen in the HEVC encoding mode (-v hevc)?

  • Does the crash happen in the copy mode (-v copy)?

Thank you!
